X-Streambox
Building Interactive Reality
A connected platform direction for real-world experiences controlled through the devices people already carry. Designed around mobile interaction, local networks and flexible deployment.

NTM Technologies designs connected and offline-first systems that combine mobile interaction, edge hardware, location data and secure digital services.
How we work
We combine product thinking with hands-on engineering. That means looking at the complete system: the interface, network, hardware, data, environment and people operating it.
Current work
Our current focus is on interactive systems, smartphone-controlled experiences, offline-first deployment and product concepts that can grow from working prototype to commercial platform.

See our expertise ↓One Node. Multiple Roles.
A flexible edge platform for local digital services. NTM Nodes can power offline multiplayer experiences, visitor and harbor information, event networks and resilient local information services — with or without continuous cloud access. In harbor environments, visitors can connect locally after leaving a cruise ship and access city routes, points of interest, local businesses and practical return-to-ship information through the node's local network.
What we connect
NTM works at the point where software meets physical environments. That is where separate technologies must operate as one dependable product.
GPS, geospatial information, route logic, live positioning and operational map interfaces.
Smartphones as controllers, sensors, identity points and intuitive access layers.
Local networks, embedded devices and resilient deployment outside permanent cloud connectivity.
Rapid prototyping, validation and iteration supported by modern AI-assisted workflows.
Technology heritage
Our earlier work in location technology, infrastructure, digital mapping and mobile systems informs how we build today. It is a foundation—not the headline.
Infrastructure intelligence
Developed by NTM Technologies in an assignment for KPN. The system combined location information, Google Maps and digitised topographic mapping to support insight into distributed KPN data nodes.
Used in the operational context of the Korps Landelijke Politiediensten (KLPD).Digital geographic information
Built from map digitisation work carried out by NTM for Kadaster and translated into a practical digital mapping product for mobile and operational use.
Brought to market as a collaborative product.Location platform
Tracking, mapping, mobile access and real-time information formed the technical foundation for later NTM systems and product thinking.

NTM Technologies develops practical technology around mobile interaction, local and offline systems, secure digital information and connected experiences.
Founded by Dutch entrepreneur Michel Ophof, NTM combines more than 15 years of technology and system-integration experience with a much longer family tradition of entrepreneurship, travel and building things differently.
Michel's entrepreneurial journey began at the age of 19 with a watersports business in Turkey. He later developed a travelling ladder attraction that operated at festivals and fairs across Europe and beyond.
His focus increasingly shifted toward technology with the rise of GSM and SMS. Early systems combined mobile communications with remote switching and control, evolving into commercial technology solutions and forming the foundation for t-i-k.eu.
The name NTM — New Traveller Movement — also reflects a much older family story. Michel's great-grandfather, Hannes Ophof, founded Circus Bosco in 1909.
More than a century later, the same themes of movement, independence, creativity and entrepreneurship continue in a different technological form.
Projects including X-Streambox, NTM Nodes, NTM Harbor and NTM Vault explore connected and independent technology across mobile interaction, local networks, location-based services, hardware integration and secure digital information.
